HOW IT WORKS

Comprehensive Inventory Management in 3 Simple Steps

1 Secure Access

Once the desired items are properly tagged and placed in the Large RFID Cabinet, pre-authorized users can access the enclosure by placing their badge to the pass reader.

2 Real-time Tracking

Securely shut the doors to the Large RFID Cabinet to ensure a scan of the inventory is performed. Whether the user adds or removes an item, the system automatically tracks the transaction in real-time, recording who took the product and when.

3 Jetstream

This recorded encrypted transaction is then transferred via Jetstream, our cloud-based platform which can be easily integrated into your existing ERP systems and inventory management workflows. If you don’t have an existing inventory management software, Stratosphere was developed just for you. Check it out!

UHF RFID & Our Process

Better understanding UHF RFID technology and how we work enables you to make an informed decision that should ultimately benefit your inventory, your process, and your time. UHF RFID, also known as Ultra-High Frequency Radio Frequency Identification technology, is the ideal solution for tracking multiple products at once because unlike LF and HF RFID tags, UHF RFID has an extremely high read range, which makes tracking large quantities possible. All of our devices are RAIN certified , you just need to select the best fit for you and we can help with that. From discovery to roll-out, we will be there every step of the way to ensure a successful implementation of this cutting-edge technology.

OUR SOFTWARE
Seamless Integration with Jetstream

The Large RFID Cabinet is a great device, but it’s able to communicate essential inventory information to end users thanks to Jetstream, our cloud-based inventory management platform, which in our book makes the Large RFID Cabinet the game changer that it is. Jetstream was developed with the understanding that security and scalability are of the utmost importance and with it staying connected to high-value inventory from anywhere at anytime is possible. ‘Know now’ is more than just a brand promise, with Jetstream it’s a reality.

For Cardiac Catheterization Labs

Like many inventory management workflows, a cardiac catheterization lab is not without its inefficiencies. These include charge capture inaccuracies as a result of the manual processes associated with tracking overstocking, which you know as well as we do, leads to a greater amount of obsolete product. All this equates to wasted time, money and resources. Three things a hospital cannot have.

Over the past years cath labs have expanded to include an even higher volume of valuable inventory applicable to a multitude of procedures across various departments within a hospital. And with greater volume, value, and utilization comes greater risk and need to decrease waste and improve quality. As has been proven time and time again, these results can be achieved through automation, and when searching for the perfect automated solution, look no further than the Large RFID Cabinet.

The procedures performed in cath labs are considered minimally invasive thanks to the life-saving medical devices being used. Meaning those materials themselves are not minimal, they’re integral and they should be maintained as such. Which is why the Large RFID Cabinet is equipped with the following:

  • Optional accessories available to cater to cath lab needs, such as the Cath Hanger and Cath Box
  • Customizable layout to accommodate specialized accessories
  • Grab and go technology that allows healthcare professionals to easily access products, while tracking their use in real-time

CASE STUDY
Froedtert Hospital Implements RAIN RFID Technology

The process of manual tracking and barcode scanning at Froedtert Hospital, based in Milwaukee, WI, resulted in time inefficiencies, human documentation errors, and limited inventory visibility, but in 2015 Froedtert implemented Terso Solutions’ UHF RFID-enabled enclosures with TrackCore, Inc.’s tissue and implant tracking software. The combined solution created a fully automated inventory management system implemented with an end-to-end Epic integration. This generated tremendous time and financial savings, improved compliance monitoring for the hospital, and enabled hospital staff to focus intentionally on what matters most – patient care.
