Terso Solutions, Inc. is excited to announce the shipment of 20 RFID-enabled units to Virginia! The hospital has begun their integration of TrackCore, Inc. tissue and implant tracking software paired with RFID-enabled hardware for increased inventory visibility and accuracy. The hospital has deployed RFID cabinets in multiple service lines, in multiple physical locations that are now tracking both biologic and non-biologic implants. The RFID technology is now being utilized in multiple hospital areas including the operating room, hybrid rooms, blood bank and lab, and outpatient surgery.

With the deployment of this new solution at both the main hospital and the outpatient surgery center, the hospital is tracking approximately 3,000 implants across ambient, refrigerated, and frozen units. Also, the hospital is tracking an additional 6,000+ implants outside of the RFID enclosures.

“We were thrilled with the implementation and coordination of the TrackCore software with the Terso RFID cabinets, refrigerators and freezers. All 20 of these units were successfully deployed in a number of service areas throughout the main hospital and the outpatient surgery center. This customer has realized immediate results of improved inventory visibility, nursing accountability and assured compliance with The Joint Commission” says Brent Maring, Director of Customer Experience for TrackCore, Inc.

This shipment marks Terso and TrackCore’s largest install to date, and included efforts from the entire Terso and TrackCore teams.
