Terso is searching for a Software Development Engineer to join as a crucial team member to our Engineering Department. In this role you would use your expertise for analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, supporting, and maintaining software for RFID based products. Terso utilizes a streamlined Agile methodology, and you would be instrumental in this process. We are seeking an individual who seeks to improve their skills and is interested in sharing expertise with others.

This is a level two Software Development Engineer position, and the position would do the following:

  • Analyze, design, develop, implement, support, and maintain software products.
  • Resolve critical issues and satisfy service level agreement objectives by working with cross functional business areas and external customers.
  • Apply test-driven development for all production output.
  • Present status, plans, findings, and recommendations to team, management, and company.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or related work experience.
  • 2-3 years’ experience as a Software Development Engineer.
  • Demonstrable experience and proficiency developing and supporting modern applications using:

Web Services; REST based API, NET, C# and ASP.Net; JavaScript; MVC, MySQL and MS SQL Server; IIS; and XML and JSON. 

  • Experience supporting the operation of production software including scripts, proactive monitoring, starting and stopping services/jobs, backup and restore, etc.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity using Team Foundation Server.
  • Familiarity with ERP system integration.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure.
  • Familiarity with RFID or EPCIS standards.

Terso is searching for a Manager of Product Development Engineering to join as a crucial team member to our Engineering Department. This position will lead the Product Development Engineering staff, lending important guidance and feedback to the team. Here at Terso, utilizing agile methodologies, quality is emphasized throughout the entire product development process. We are seeking a flexible and energetic leader to help us elevate our innovation in our current and new products.

This is an experienced Manager of Product Development Engineering position, and this person would do the following:

  • Directly supervise a small group of Product Development Engineering staff members including Hardware, Firmware, and Software Development engineers.
  • Oversee a robust Agile project management process to keep projects on schedule and on budget.
  • Provide input to strategic decisions that affect Product Development.
  • Analyze, design, architect, implement, and support electrical systems as a subject matter expert.
  • Serve as lead electrical engineer; responsible for providing technical expertise as a lead electrical design engineer to develop new products.
  • Motivate the team to achieve excellence through meeting and exceeding goals. Ability to apply problem solving methods to identify and correct any concerns or issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 10+ years combined experience in electrical design engineering and engineering project management.
  • 5+ years of direct supervision of engineering personnel.
  • Strong skills and proven professional experience in printed circuit board design.
  • Knowledge of Agile development lifecycles and how they pertain to product development engineering projects.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at one time, often with changing requirements.
  • Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, ERP, CRM, Document Control, Altium, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience in an Agile development environment.
  • Working knowledge of RFID and IoT technologies.
